Evenin' all, first timer here.

My minion is currently installing a new bathroom for me, and my wife has insisted on these goddamn porcelain tiles which are starting to seem to be more hassle than they at first seemed.

My man (did i say minion earlier? oops :D ) wants to lay the new tiles on the existing ceramic, but it seems we need some very expensive AD1 additive at 56 quid a gallon.

The porcelain tiles are large and quite heavy, but do we really need this additive, or can we lay onto the ceramic by scoring the old tiles.

Any help would be much appreciated, ta.
