fixing tiles to a bowed wall

hi
i know that you are not meant to spot wall tiles but how do you fix them to a bowed wall, for example if it bows in 10-15mm in the middle obviously you dont want to follow the wall as it will look rubbish so how do you build them out?

Sort the wall out first, dot and dab new boards over would be one way. What substrate is it currently?

its a skimmed wall, all 4 walls have bows in them between 5 - 15mm, dot and dabbing new boards would be alot of work plus its a small bathroom and would make it even smaller, is ther no other way?

As above definately. Sorting the wall first helps ensure a better finish. Far better in the long run.

It depends what type of customer you have. If you have the type that has faith in everything you say and you can sell the job being a better finish in the long run then do that.
If not and you have the type that just wants the tiles on the walls then it is up to you whether you take the job on and run with the walls.

Just remember that brickbonding will be a nightmare.

prep walls first,tiling its all about your lines and flatness, just do it right

Get a good plasterer to SBR all walls,float walls with carlite bonding,and skim over,should be able to sort in a day.

Get your straight edge, mark your bits that need building out, prime, mix-up some rapid, and skim/build it up a bit...

AS a above get the wall flat before tiling do it right first time.

B&Q do a nice range of bowed tiles...fit them,problem solved ...or skim with quickset....done it many times....when it comes to plasterboard I rip off and pack out sometimes..

10-15mm dosnt seem that much of problem if you take your time and put a strap along the bottom and just build the tiles out with adhesive make sure they are flat and off you go

Hire a professional tiler who takes pride in his work, should not be a problem. Unsure if your a tiler or diy?... If diy, then as above but be realistic in the result you can achieve... take your time, work clean and try to enjoy it
