hi all,i thought you didnt need to use a flexible adhesive when putting ceramics onto a concrete floor only when using porcelain,,was told today by a tiler on the job i should be using flexi?? is this correct? bit confused now:whatchutalkingabout also whilst im on the subject what is the actual difference between a 1 part and a 2 part flexible adhesive? havent actually use a 2 part flexi yet ,cheers:thumbsup:

Suitable for use on concrete/brick/block walling, cement:sand rendering, plaster, plasterboard, cement sheets, tile backer boards, concrete bases, cement:sand screeds, plywood overlay, ceramic/quarry tile/terrazzo/hard natural stone, vinyl tiles/sheet bases, mastic asphalt. Conforms to BS EN 12004, Type C, Class 2T.

I don't think flexi is necessary on concrete but if it was heated I would go flexi.

Bal Rapidset, Goldstar and CTF3 are all ok for concrete according to te BAL Bible!

I would only use flexy if there was a heating mat! Normal rapidset is fine for concrete, both bal and mapei state there rapidset is suitable for porcelain!!
