Some of The pictures on the news look horrendous, it really puts the power of nature into perspective.

Where I live has so far escaped any flooding, despite the sometimes heavy rain showers.

Fortunately I am in a similar position....I can be quite un-nerving seeing what looks like a river running past the front window.

Pretty high up here too but I have a journey to do later so I hope the roads where I am going are ok, should be fine.

not quite as bad today as it was in 2007.....when most of Gloucestershire was flooded, even the water treatment plant was flooded and the whole of Gloucester was without running water for 8 days !!! we had to collect free bottles of drinking water from water stations and collect water from bowsers at the end of the road to flush the bog..lol

I live it Scotland, it rains 364 days of the year up here & on the other day it snows..
We can send money to all these foreign countries for aid but when it's on our door step peeps just have to get on with it!!
