Floor adhesive

I have some floor adhesive left over from a floor i have just done. Can i use this to do some wall tiling?

What kind of adhesive is it? Bit hard to say without knowing that first.

if the adhesive is cement based then you might have a problem on plaster

I have heard that there can be a crystalline reaction over time between the cement in the adhesive and the plaster. perhaps if the appropriate primer is used it will be OK. I have done it my self with no problems. I did use an acrylic primer though.

Do some Googling on a guy called "John Schmitt" he seems to be avidly against it

If it is a renderd wall then it will be OK

Its evostick floor + stone flexable adhesive. The tiles are going straight onto plasterboard

Not familiar with that brand. What does the product specs say? Adhesives made specifically for floors tend to have less "hanging" strength than wall specific or general purpose adhesives. That means the tiles can slip a bit unless they're supported by battens or some such.

My advice is that you read the product specs. They'll also tell you on wether or not you need to prime the plasterboard first.
