Floor Tile Advice - Upstairs

Hi Guys

Thank you in advance for your help advice and wisdom.

I am going to lay ceramic tiles in our bathroom which is upstairs. Itt is an old victorian 2 bed end terraced. Their are floorbaords wioth hardboard on top which is very stable. Will that be OK to tile onto after the hardboard has been sealed?

Screw down floorboards. Prime floorboards. Use a tile backer board like hardie or wedi etc. Glue and screw. Tile away.

is the 6mm hardi ok?

Ideal. Make your adhesive a little wetter than normal for for its purpose is to fill voids not stick although im sure the stick helps too lol

make sure the boards are very secure and virtually no deflection..before using hardibacker.
