I am tiling a porch and extension in 2 weeks time, the client has asked me for some help with solving a problem in his hall.
The hall is 3/4 parqet flooring and 1/4 concrete, he wants to install high quality carpet tiling but feels he needs to cover the floor with a plywood.
Is this a practical and workable solution and if so what type and thickness of ply is best....(he mentioned 6mm ??)
If not, what are the problems with this course of action..????

any advice would be gratefully received.
