The didnt really deserve to qualify from the group overall. They were handed a lifeline when Russia were beaten on Sat and failed to take it!! they played crap tonight and again were handed a lifeline when they got the equaliser and failed to shut up shop. McLaren will go and so he should. Was a poor campaign overall by England, and a nation with such a tremendous Premier League should be running riot in these qualifiers.

I reckon the should have a 5 nations tourney whilst the Champoionship is on...

I think players should be payed for perfances....if you are good statistically you will be payed for that,if you are totally crap the statistics will expose you,your wages should be far less.....surely a footballer should be payed so much per tackles won,passes made,goal assists,saves etc.... you can't argue with statistics....Gaz

oh well so you all know how 5 million of us felt up here on Saturday.Alan Shearer was right when he said 10 of them out there tonight never produced the goods apart from Crouch.Terrible defending by England tonight but overal;l remember the Macedonia game in England that has got to be taken into account,also the keeper tonight did have a co1or 2 good saves to keep England in it.Travel agents will be busy with holiday makers this summer as NO HOME NATIONAL TEAM WILL BE AT THE EURO FINALS IN THE SUMMER WHICH IS BAD NEWS REALLY.
