Formsafe tanking kit, has anybody used it before?

Client has supplied this tanking kit for a wetroom

Has anybody used this before? if so what are your opinions on it?

How much!!!?? IMO that is a total rip off. There are far better kits out there. Looks like what you may use to patch up the roof on a shed!

yeah i know, incredible price, i only found a box of this on the job today and i cant believe she paid that for it, i presume she wants me to tank with it, i don't like it and don't really want to use it!
Shes also got a Tuff form tray which ive also never used before but looks ok

i don't know whether to suggest a different product when i see her tomorrow or just get on with it and use it!

I used one of the fleece products on a Tuff former, scratch it with course oxide paper first though...

yeah i thought i'd do that, then i read in the instructions that i should roll the tanking membrane over the shower former, then cut the hole out for the drain!

It was a while since I done one, the reason for the hole is (stating the obvious) you lift out the drain cover and then fix fleece tanking and then push drain back in but making sure you don't cut the hole to big....

thanks will do, but this stuff is soo sticky, once i peel off the backing paper ive only got one shot at getting it fixed

One shot is all I had, the fleece I had needed to folded in as such but depends on what trap it is....

Me personally mate i would stick to what you know works and try to get her to buy the one you want, but if she is determined for you to use it then i would be pointing out that i can't give a guarantee on a product i have never used and won't be held responsible if it fails.
