getting customers through search engines?

Just wondering does anyone think people would search on google (or any other search engine) to find a tiler?

For example by searching for "tiler" and "<your county>".

Has anybody got a customer this way - by someone just searching with keywords on google for a tiler?

Also, does anyone advertise with google (adwords), or optimise there website to get high up in the rankings to try and get customers that way with any results?

I'm just about to give it a go myself. Have been given a free £30 trial by Google ad words. If any jobs come up that are to far away you could always sub contract it to a forum tiler in that area.

I get most of my business for myself and my clients from search engines either through the natural listings or using Adwords and other PPC campaigns.
