Giving it away !

So there I was installing loft insulation when I decided that the loft could do with a clean out.
So I have a Pioneer stereo system with turntable but I think the band has stretched that drives the turntable. Its a Multi disc jobbie (5 I think). Good condition apart from turntable problem.
I Have a Sharp UX-P110 fax/phone/copier, was working fine when last used ( A while ago)
Also loads of kids games in boxes.

Now ... i have tried in the past Freecycle but just get messed about by traders and people who dont turn up or want iit delivered as well !!!

Just found Freebay and trying that now.

Last year I tried to give the games away to a kids home but I was given so much hassle I gave up.......Any ideas or just throw it all away ?

there are Sure Start children's centres around the UK I think who might benefit from the kids toys

ive come across this issue as well neale,ive got an attic rammed with old toys/games etc etc etc even basic prices on fleabay wdnt shift it last time i tried i might look the charity shop route and give it all away

I tried charty shops but they dont like electrical items as they have to be checked.

You can if private but there is too much paperwork involved so I am told for some items.

I came across the same problem when ai had my shop one xmas eve I had, had a dismal day loads of stuff left cakes, bread, pies, ect I rang around a few places to give the stuff away no body was interested what a waste it all went in the bin, I thought it would have been apreciated by the homeless but red tape prevented it go figure

Just had a contact from freecycle about fax machine " Hi, I will put it good use, can you deliver as I dont drive " !!!!!

Tend to give stuff to charity shops

I leave the stuff outside the house, its incredible the amount of stuff that poeple will take away. ITs not a through road but yet anything electrical or scrap metal goes within a day.

This month so far i have got rid of an old boiler (not the missus) cast iron bath, microwave and some render bead off cuts.
