Giving up the day job

Have been working as a part time handyman for several years in Carmarthenshire. As well as handyman stuff I do decorating, tiling and laminate flooring. The tiling seems to be the vast majority of what I get asked to do. Already have several satisfied customers who have asked me back. Anyway have taken the plunge and started out full time on my own. Would welcome any tips from those who have been there, done that and got the T-shirt, especially about generating work. Wish me luck!

Hi there and welcome to the forums

One thing I can never say enough is to posts asking about generating work is to advertise advertise and advertise.

It does not have to be expensive adverts all the time, simple leaflet dropping is cheap and in my view very effective, if posted through enough doors.

Have a search through the forums on advertising, theres many threads knocking about as to who finds what effective advertising.

I even did a poll a while back, but it will be an old locked topic now.
