Hello folks, this is my first post, have spent many a happy hour browing through all the good advice and info on this forum, however, I now need to pick some brains.

I am in the process of reforming the bathroom at home and intend using glass blocks to form a shower wall, I have two choices, both using the same glass blocks, one is to utilise the normal mortar and spacer route for assembly, the other is to use aluminium strips/spacers and silicon, what in your opinion would be the stronger system? the mortar would of course be reinforced with steel rods.
