Either scribe round the Glass or mark up the sides of the chimney, take chimney down & get 2 rips of wood (painted same colour as wall) & same thickness as finished tile & refit cooker hood with the wood fixed in place.

you will only see the side of the wood 10/12mm as it sits flush with side of chimney, it doesnt sound nice but gives a surprisingly good finish.
