Would a glazer be able to cut say 10mm of a glass hood?

Is this a curved cooker hood? Or is it only tiled up so far & there is a gap up the side of the chimney?

im tiling it tomorrow but the hood is hard up against the wall but can be took of but
when tiled would leave a 10 gap around the steel chimney

yes its curved

might need to tile around it

toughened glass cant see it being cut in fact id say no mate

Either scribe round the Glass or mark up the sides of the chimney, take chimney down & get 2 rips of wood (painted same colour as wall) & same thickness as finished tile & refit cooker hood with the wood fixed in place.

you will only see the side of the wood 10/12mm as it sits flush with side of chimney, it doesnt sound nice but gives a surprisingly good finish.
