Many Thanks for the replies, i will try hacksaw blade
There is access to both sides of splashback,all though only 1mm if that, as i've got a feeling it will have been put on with a ton of 'mirror mate' or similar 'gunk'.

I was thinking of putting duct tape over all of it and smashing it off? if hacksaw technique does not work, is this the only way?
