I've got my annual charity golf round next weekend (sport relief), love to play but, if I'm honest, not very good. Anyone any good and play regularly?

When I was last employed I used to play regularly and get inviters from clients, suppliers, etc. I had this misconception that when I went self-employed I would get my handicap down to single figure. No such luck. Play less and less now.

I cannot STAND playing golf. On an interesting note I do actually enjoy watching it. I used to follow my dad around as his little caddy and really enjoyed the scenary and quietness

I play when I can fit it in and play off 12, but the second little consumer has put paid to golf this season. I'm ment to be playing Bruntsfield next Sunday, which is a crackin track, but wife is working, so another no show from me.....

Considering I am (or was) pretty handy at cricket, squash, tennis and table tennis, I've tried and tried but I can't hit a golf ball to save my life much to the amusement of friends that have tried to teach me. So I'm with my Dad's way of thinking, waste of a good walk without a dog.

that's the same as me good at all sports but average at golf cant play it any more waiting for new knees

Sorry, I have no interest in golf, but how on earth did you manage to actually post a new thread on this forum? I have spent past 3 ½ minutes looking in FAQ's and trying to see a clue as to how it's done but come up fruitless. I desire to post a new thread about the absurd price of tile adhesive, but have no idea how one goes about it. Any chance you could enlighten an old Luddite from the north?
