any tips on how to mark black glossy granite when using wet cutter, got a floor to do and can't think how to mark them without it washing off, tried white pencils before they allways go soft. any advise welcome. cheers. caliper

Just put a score mark with your dry cutter so you can see the line when cutting.........

I used an orange chinagraph pencil, need to make sure the granite is absolutely dry though to get it to mark.

Or white Chinagraph pencil - wax based so doesn't wash off. Cleans off after with a dab of whitespirit.

I used masking tape on dry granite.

If it gets wet it dont stick too well so keep it dry.

I use one of my lads crayons for marking granite, scrape any remains off with fingernail, doesnt mark it.

Same as Dave dry scribe it with tile scribe or dry rail first
