A customer wants her kitchen tiling in 100 sq tiles, three colour random. Colours are Brown ,beige and white all of them a matt tile.
I know that I should have asked her to make the decision as to the colour of grout but she was unsure as too what would look best white or beige and she asked me to do whatever I thought looked best. Now I have done a beige tile with beige grout and a white tile with white grout but as it is a tile of each with a brown one thrown in I cannot decide which would look best.

Any of you done one or the other or maybe both layouts and give me their opinion of which looks best. Could be a lot more work in it. :uhoh2:

Myself mate i would go with the white grout, don't think you can go wrong with it when using with a mix colour of tiles. Find it always looks nice and clean and basically goes with all colours. I would avoid the beige myself.

Question also confused me a little with the 100sq tiles. Im presuming you meant are doing a splashback with 10cm x10cm tiles.

One for the future mate, contact Mapei via email (its on there site) and ask them could they send you a grout pallet, will get a nice plastic case with strips of the different coloured grout in that you can show the customers. Very rarely use mine but if i have a customer who is unsure on colour i just show them the sticks so i get a rough idea on the colour they want. Saves on a "oo i dont like that colour YOU chose, not paying for that"

I recently contacted Mapei for a grout colour chart expecting a cheap cardboard effort and was totally surprised with what came through. I recieved a wee box with sticks of set grout in all the colours that they do and a matching Silicon chart in all the colours aswell ....excellent stuff.....have a look here....
