Within the last few days I have had my wall and floor tiled by a pro and I chose to have light grey on both. The floor has dried a nice silver grey as expected, but the walls seem to be a muddy brown? I have checked the bags and they are from the same batch. They were both done at the same time - do I have a comeback??? Advice appreciated

What make was the grout? I used a cheap homebase grout on a small floor in my mums house before i started to tile as a proffesion. It dried back different colours all over the place. After some phoning around i found out that the particles in cheaper grouts do not mix properly, i was told that you need to nock up the whole bag at once to make sure all the particles mix. I mixed 2 lots up out of the same bag and the floor looked terrible. i had to regrout the whole thing with a Bal grout in the end.

Is there a great difference in colour? I've heard sometimes that too much or too little water when mixing the grout can effect the shades slightly, as can using a dirty bucket, it could be something to do with the substraight. If the walls took longer to dry than than the floor then maybe this could have effected the shade of the grout. I think that some of the more expeirenced lads on here will be able to help you more mate.

The guy has used the wrong grout on the walls, the yellow bagged grout from palace is their wide joint floor grout, its a much courser sandier grout than wall grout, maybe its reacted a bit more with the drying process of the tub gear on the walls and not the cement adhesive that would have been used on the floor, Palace only do white wall grout.
Check out the palace chemicals web site print it off about grouts and tell the pro tiler to change it to a proper one.
Maybe hes not such a pro after all
