Grout in shower areas!!!

Alright Lads, just wondering what ur thoughts are on grout choice when it comes to grouting shower areas?? I generally get the impression that most grouts are advertised As for use in showers but the small print on the back tends to suggest otherwise. Something along the lines of water resistant not waterproof or swimming pools yes power shower no. Any comments welcome. Thanks

The only waterproof grout you get is an Epoxy Grout.

Most Grouts are Water Resistant meaning they won't break down when in contact with water..

Stef is correct. My choice when grouting most showers is a cement based grout which is just fine for nearly all domestic jobs

You will find that most modified grouts are OK with pools or power showers etc.

I always use flexi cement based grout. Preferably Weber, but it doesn't really matter too much. I think water would have to sit on the grout for some time, to really get any ingress.
