Grout problem

Hi guys,I went to see a swimming pool that has cracked and missing grout in loads of areas
it is mosaic,the grout is definitely a sanded grout
it has been a while since I have been on a swimming pool but memory tells me that we always grouted with epoxy
can a swimming pool be grouted with standard grout?bal say their grout can be used in swimming pools is this correct

any replies greatly appreciated. Marc

Don't need to use epoxy but it sounds like the chemical balance of the water is not good.

As pdc states, it's probably the chlorine. It dissolves standard grout. Hate to think what it does to people who spend a lot of time sat in hot tubs
