Grout removal

I have been onto an American forum for cleaning tiles and on there they say they use a circular rip saw and they change the blade and use it for removing grout from floors...Hope they havent got underfloor heating..:lol:

I use a Makita concrete cutter which is a circular saw as well. No chance of damaging the UFH though! You just set the depth on the blade

i use a fein for this job lads,great multi tool ,i use it on nearly every job now.

I bought a fein a few weeks ago. I used it to remove grout on my own shower, it wore out the thin carbide blade i got with it, and has taken the thicker segment blade down a bit too. So, im not impressed with the carbide blades. i cant find a supplier near me, to get blades from. i might have a floor to re-grout coming up soon.

i bought the diamond one at the show as well, i am not that convinced it was value for money

i bought the bosch equivlent to the fein and after using one of the blades that came with it for one job its completely worn out, fair enough i was taking up excess floor advesive that i couldnt be bothered to scrape up :joker: one thing i can say tho is my arm had pins and needles and felt very odd indeed, cant say im in a rush for using things like this again other than trimming door adges and stuff

Yes i had pins n needles after using the fein. maybe should have taken a break. instead of trying to do it all at once.:yes:
