Two quick questions. I've got a bottle of Fila grout protector from Topps Tiles and am going to seal the grout between the ceramic splashback tiles on my kitchen wall, between the porcelain tiles on the kitchen floor, between the ceramic tiles on my bathroom walls (different ceramic tiles from kitchen) and between the porcelain tiles on my bathroom floor. The bottle doesn't have a roller, just a nozzle, so I imagine it'll make it harder to get an even line of sealer that I could achieve with a roller applicator. I'm going to use a small paintbrush to make sure the sealer is evenly distributed along the grout lines, but the brush is going to wipe across the tile edges too as it's wider than the grout lines. The instructions say just to let it dry but doesn't say anything about keeping it off the tiles.
Will this liquid be safe for the tiles, ceramic and porcelain?
Secondly, is white spirit safe to clean ceramic tiles where there's silicon residue? I think it's Silicon from where my builder siliconed under the wall cupboards near the tiles, but it's making some of the dark coloured splashback tiles look grubby.
