Just been sent this photo, Customer has just had a Slate look porcelain tile laid...and this is how the 'So called tiler' has left it :yikes:. They want a price to clean 18sqm...They have not paid the guy yet.

Yes he has been back and tried to clean it, he can not get grout off the tiles.

looks like skirtings and arcs have been put on after tiling if you look at the picture and they've been glossed. Customer could have done it. Just cant understand anyone tiling well but leaving grout like that, would have thought there would be more probs than that. I might be wrong.

Well spotted, you can see the paint on the tile, hmmm...

There is a bit of paint on the tiles but it's mainly grout.

As has been said, the tiles don't look that badly laid but that's just a mess!

It's not even as if he's had to do any tiling on the walls above, so how did he get it so wrong?

Looks like a lot of elbow grease on that one. If it's a porcelain surface though it shouldn't be too hard to clean.

My thoughts were that there was a lot of paint. The worst seems to be round the architrave, but there do seem to be a lot of paint spots in the middle too - have they have tried to clean up unsuccesfully and want someone else to blame?

i know that tile and i think the grey marks in pic is adh have seen this before and it is near imposable to clean recommend you do a test patch first the tiles in question are porc and should of had an impregnator applied before fixing as they are very porous good luck
