Grouting floor tile question

Hello all, I have been asked to quote for tiling a floor with limestone tiles, do I need to seal the tiles prior to grouting, if so, which sealer should I use and how should I go about it.

The limestone needs to be sealed twice before you touch them !! very very prone to staining.handle with latex gloves......this is my recommendation tileman....Gaz

Hi Gaz, thanks for the reply, do I apply the sealer prior to laying the tiles, it's a 17m2 floor, thats a lof of tiles to paint x 2 coats, how long does it take to dry between coats, how much would I require and how much does it cost.

No bother jon mate,you do need to apply before laying, Limestone stains just by looking at it !, if you have a garage line them up on cardboard and seal, one very good coat may well do. One bottle of the impregnator will do 20mtrs 2 coats and it is £24.99inc vat.....Gaz .

anytime advise is for nowt, you may wan't to check the supplier of the limestone before starting, he may offer more advise on particular type....Gaz
