grouting porcelain tiles

how do you stop joints sinking. should you grout twice, first normal to make sure full . then go over again with stiff stuff to top up? they still sink? is bal better .

If grouting sinks it generally means you are cleaning too soon. Don't be afraid to give the grout time to set before cleaning. Could be 60 to 90 minutes. Hope this helps

Defo knock up stiff..but not so that you cant "Parge" it in the margins...and yes porcelain gives you quite a while for cleaning off purposes..G.;-)

If leaving it longer is worrying you about cleaning it off the face of the tile then, what i do is go back around with a spray bottle (with a mist setting on the nozzle) and give them a wipe over with a clean cloth. Micro fibre tea towels i find best.
Sinking grout is usually excess water either in the mix or flooding in washing off too soon.
