half concrete/half floor board

hi all
I'm a new tiler and i have a job to tile kitchen floor approx 15 square metres and need advice on preparing floor as not yet come across a floor half concrete half floor board
floor boards are solid
concrete level
but there is a 2mm lip were concrete meets floor boards
i have some ideas but you guys have the experience
really appreciate some advice

What meterage do you have on the floor boards

about 6 metre square

I've done this but may get hammered for it......

Primed the floorboards with sbr 3-1 and laid ditra with a spf, which will bring the hight difference up but use a control joint between the 2 different surfaces.

I've used a decoupling on rigid floorboards which are solid and have not had a problem.

Other advise may follow, so please keep checking the posts

the prob with that is . it could crack where the two substrats meet!!!

Shouldn't do if you're starting a full tile/expansion between the two substrates.

Belts and braces route would be to replace the floorboards with a suitable thickness of ply and decouple the complete area, still breaking over the join.
