www.tilersforums.com is now 2 years old and i would like to thank DAN and all the members for making it the leading tiling forum in the UK.

I believe this was the first post 2 years today....................

Hi everybody and welcome to the new tile forums. I'm Dan, your host for the duration of the experience. I've tiled now for around 6 years and have some good experience behind me in both the tiling and teaching tiling trades. I now run many online stores and websites aimed at the underfloor heating or related market and seem to somehow have time to setup new forums :D

I'm the daddy here so if you have any problems, make sure you let me know about them as soon as they bug you, and I'll do my very best to correct anything as soon as possible.

Other new members please say hi in a new thread if possible.

Wooooo - happy birthday forum.

You'll notice it was I that had to route out the information to reply to queries with though now we use brains of
proper tile related guys such as Dave,
Gaz, Russ (Grumpy) etc. Ant from Chase - good old Concept marked a good change in the direction the forum was going I feel too. So he gets a thanks from me.

Well done members and readers too. It really does feel like we're announcing all sorts of random things far too often but we really do have loads of milestones that need mentioning.

I can't believe I've wiped the floor with the stats of all my other forums let alone tile related ones. It has really become a known and trusted name in the industry and I respect that.

2008: Look out for a few new schemes soon to benefit the tiler, the tilers' customer, and the forum readers along with a new forum design and a custom built system once again jam packed with features and tools to help you all get involved in the community on and offline.

I must mention the amount of
proper tools we've managed to keep off the forum - thanks to Dave, Ant, Russ and all the members who help with that from simply clicking a report post button to Dave and I dealing with 'proper tools' all through the day and night. We have made a few people be less
tilersforums.com favourable in the last 2 years but I'm please to say that those are the tools we're normally dealing with. And usually the ones we're exposing for doing something dodgy, using the power of our huge on and offline community to do so.

I want to take the opportunity to remind members of other forums to come over here and be on both. We'd love a direct comparison.

And I'm pleased to say that I've only ever seen other forums' praised above us AFTER we've first given the 'tool' doing the praising the boot from here. You'd expect that wouldn't you really? Making the praise kind-of useless?

You know today is tell somebody about
tilersforums.com day?
