Can you confirm the thickness of the Hardiebacker plz....Gazjust been to price a kitchen floor up and the customer has put 38 sqm of hardibacker down onto t+g boards. no addy is under the boards so would i still be ok to tile onto it?
The 12mm board gives you the best go at it, we at Bal will recommend 10mm backerboard overlay with spf or rapid flexi adhesive Wayne. 6mm version overlayed, glued or not has to be two part flexi .....Gazi didnt notice whether it was the 250 or 500. i am not really clued up on hardibacker as i use no more ply myself. i just remeber something about using addy under the boards
If a problem develops in the future then Hardie will not entertain it, as their installation literature states a 6mm notch trowel bed of adhesive....
