a linear metre is a measurement from point 'A' to point 'B', in a straight line.

So in a bathroom needing a border tile, you would measure from corner to corner of the room, add them together and BINGO! You have your linear metre length. Make sure you deduct features such as door frames etc...

Where did you train at if I may ask?
