Been to price up a job today. Nice simple conservatory floor with underfloor heating already fitted or so I thought. When I arrived I found this Econboard Insulation Board placed on top of the screed without being stuck then the underfloor heating stuck on top of it. Alarm bells went of instantly. Spoke to the builder and he swears blind it has been done correctly. Asked him for the suppliers details and he happily gave me them. Spoke to the supplier East midlands ceramics and they told me the Econboard Insulation Board needs to be stuck to the screed using single part flex (which the builder didn't do) and then the underfloor heating stuck, then self leveling, then tiled if preferred or go ahead and tile straight onto underfloor heating without self leveling it off. Sounds the right way to be going about things but after seeing this board Im not convinced it can be tiled onto. It reminds me just like a piece of polystyrene. Has anybody had experience using this particular product. Thanks in advance for your replies. Vinney The Lincoln-Tiler
