have you ever seen a tiled substrate as bad as this?

Got asked to investigate and remedy a failed bathroom floor this week, the tiles didn't even need a hammer and bolster to release them from this floating floor

a caber chipboard floor, rockwool fibreglass insulation on that, plasterboard on top of that, then another layer of chipboard (all floating) then tiled:yikes:

materials to remedy this 3m2 subfloor came to £200, (60mm wedi board, addy, screws and washers)

lol Jamie, my jaw dropped when I saw it all, I couldn't do an "exploratory" on my initial pricing visit as clients let it out as a holiday home too, luckily i just gave the a provisional price of taking up tiles and re-tiling, anything other than that was an extra

That plasterboard has been installed upside down, otherwise, fine. :yikes:

They just didn't finish it properly, if they'd dot and dabbed the tiles with Silicon it would have been fine

It would of been fine Doug only use two weeks of the year
