I think I may opt for an impact body, makita, I think they may go in a bit better.
I piloted the last small floor I did to see if it made a difference in time...I dont think it did.
Thats good going john. bet the knees are nice today !
If you have already got an collated gun it is definitely the way to go. Not all of the screws will go in flush first time every time, so you will still need a driver of some sort. Last batch I got were 25mm from screwfix went into chipboard fine.Does anyone use a collated screw gun for putting down HBB?
Got 25 boards to put down soon for 15mm marble. not looking forward to 900 screws !!!
I use turbo golds too My makita doesnt seem as heavy as my old ryobis so maybe its time to see what the impacts like !
HBB screwed into chipboard as opposed to floorboards.Wrighty that probably adds up to just as much time as on a standard cordless lol. plus I see you mentioned chipboard, Im talking Hardi boards.
Martyn that looks a bargain, last review on sfix says it could do with a second battery? I think the makita one is the choice.
okay so which one do I choose and where do I buy for much cheapness. Id like one with a battery!
I have my 5 piece Makita kit, if you already have Makita go for that.
I think I've had my kit about 5yrs now, roughly, & my impact drivers never missed a beat.
sorry stef i meant which model impact in the makita range as theres a few !
