Hello everyone, I'm going by the name of Blackwood, and have just registered.
I'm about to be made redundant from my current job. I have always loved tiling, having done a few bathrooms and kitchens for myself as well as a few friends. They asked me because they thought I was ok at it and the end result was fairly good, though perhaps a little on the slow side! I'm seriously thinking that I would like to start my new career as a tiler, and am currently looking to do a proper course to show me the correct way to do things, and hopefully more quickly and efficiently. A work colleague is thinking of joining me and we'll hopefully be able to continue working together. Incidently his brother has a tiling company in Australia.
If anyone has any tips or words of wisdom, any thoughts would be really appreciated.. I hope to maybe end up in Spain or France in a few years,so this choice of career might be a wise one. I like the idea of doing something I enjoy doing for a living,be it here or abroad.
Thanks for taking the time to read this,I hope I can be a useful member of these forums..
Regards Blackwood
