hello just joined this site so am saying hello 2 every1. been tiling 4 three years as a sole trader tho hav worked in the tile industry 4 18yrs...first 2 years on my own were great made lots o money but since about last october it has been pretty dead..dribs an drabs. i know lots of tilers up here in geordieland and we r all pretty quiet and i know plunketts has laid a few off ,parkers as well. wor lass is gettn a bit worried about the lack of money hope it picks up soon.

hello and welcome to the forums...... I heard plunketts had laid some fixers off but didn't know parker's had as well...........it is the way the sites are at the moment..nothings selling so they are not building fresh plots either so there's nothing for these big firms to tile, but the domestic market is still strong....good luck i hope it picks up for you..........
