Help on How to Price Job

Hi all.
I was asked to quote to replace 58 broken floor tiles in a cafe, but the owner has asked if i would work after 3am as that`s when he closes the cafe.How is best to quote for this!!! :mad2: ....Dunc

Yeah.Was planning putting in double day rate and see what comes of it,just wanted to see what sort of quote you would of done..Thank`s lad`s .....Dunc

Never mind what we would quote what would you be happy with earning at that time and with what is involved. Get that figure in your head and if the cafe owner agrees then you are happy and if he doesn't let some other muppet do it for less whilst you are nicely tucked up.

I've worked at a gym and the only time I could do work in the womens showers was between 10pm and midnight when the cleaners were in so had to do 3 bloody nights. I charged double day rate and they were happy,its an unrealistic time to ask a busy tradesman to work.
Great job except for the 2nd night when with 5 minutes to go I grabbed all my tools and off-cuts at once and tried to take them from the changing room through the pool area into the back room.One off cut fell out of the bucket and bounced in slow motion towards the covered pool.Only it wasn't completely covered and it fell in the 2" gap.
I had to strip down to my boxers and dive in to get it,put a smile on the cleaners faces but boy did it **** me off at 11.55 at night.
