help- tile adhesive not drying properly???

Hi I need some advise. I am retiling around my bath and it is going well, but taking a long time because trying to look after a toddler and baby at the same time. I am using Bal white star on 25x33cm tiles and it looks good. I'm almost finished and the tiles stay up and when I try to move them they won't budge, BUT I had to take some off because I wanted to change something. I put a screwdriver behind and pulled it off quite easily. The adhesive still felt a little damp. We have been having baths and my husband did steam the bathroom up the other night. Is this a problem or will the tiles be fine and I should stop worrying and grout them in? Really worrying because already spent loads on all the Bal adhesive and grout. They have been done bath to ceiling for nearly a week now and no sign of moving. My plan is no more baths until the last tiles are up, had 3 or 4 days to dry and the grout is on and dry. Any advise very welcome!!!

were the tiles ceramic or porcelain, and what was the wall you tiled, plaster, plasterboard ect was there any paint on the walls.......and welcome to the forum

Hi the tiles are ceramic and the wall has recently been skimmed but I let it all dry out and primed it with Bal acrylic primer as advised by topps tiles

Hi, no need to prime with a tubbed dispersion adhesive, this will hinder the dispersion process of the adhesive and slow down the setting time.

Also if you are using it above the recommended thickness (3mm) then this will also increase setting time and will also create an issue with structural strength to the adhesive bed.

Would you advise me not to use the bath, or is it ok as long as there's hardly any steam?

White star will be least effected by the moisture as it is quite a high polymer adhesive but yes do try to not to have high humidity whilst drying...as it will slow drying.
