Remember to only score once, the more score lines you have the more chance there is of the break following all the score lines and end up looking messy.

Replace the scoring wheel if it looks poorly.

Try a quick motion on the breaker and then a slow motion on a different tile and see if you have a preference afterwards in terms of quality of cut and ease of cut.

Does the tile have a rough finish? Can you tell us anything else about the tile or cutter or anything?
