help with floor

Hi all,

PLyd out a bathroom floor today with 12mm ply. problem is, over an 1800 mm distance the floor dips about 5mm in the middle. how do i level this?

option 1- level with addy as i tile using spirit level (back butter)


Option 2- plaster the dip with rapid set then scrape flat ith long feather edge.

I would level out as I go..... option 1 that is!

cheers m8, thats what i thought but i like to try new ideas.

option 2 for me. hate all the attendant cleaning up thats involved with buttering,lifting adding a little more,relay,lift again,squeeze the tile down,watch excess adhesive oozing out of the joints, etc etc etc. Just done one today and it was a pain

maybe check the level before you start next time Chas,this way you could pack the floor to the same height then ply out.Just a thought m8. The problemn you now have ,i think the option would be to use your levels around and over this area in particular and pack up as you go using the back buttering technique.Is that your job in Calender?
