Help with metallic matt tile

Hi Guys,
Just finished my floor with a metallic effect matt tile from B&q. The problem is that if any water gets on it it seems to stain the tile and if you try and wipe off the water it smears across the tile.
I believe the tile is a ceramic tile so i guess im asking if there is any product out there that could prevent this from happening? Maybe a sealer of some sort. Ilook forward to your replies.

hi any pic so we know what were looking at if its glazed ceramic it should not change color when wet

I am not sure if it is glazed? would it be shiny if it was glazed?
as in my first post it is a metallic matt finish. will try and sort a pic out asap.

Mattalic can be matt finish... and some do wet up but dry out... as in water doesn't hurt them.

hi tile can be matt or gloss if glazed if tile changes color when wet (goes darker norm)it indicates its not glazed :8:

ok, thanks jay, then i would have to say it is not glazed.

it does dry up if wiped but seems to smear the tile and leave a darker mark.

Jay: is there any product i can use seeing that we have established it is un-glazed?

would be better if we knew the tile a pic would help as you can use an impregnator sealer but need to know tile is it porcelain/////:8:

I think its ceramic, but im not 100% certain, but will check on the box.
I went back to B&Q to ask their advice and the tile i bought has now been discontinued. But they are doing a similar tile also made by Fusion in a black matt.
Will try and get a pic sorted asap.

B&Q gave me some tile sealer for ceramic tiles , it was a kind if milky white colour and not solvent based, i tried it on a couple of spare tiles but it seemed to leave a residue on the tile that was noticeable when they got wet!!!

okay best to post pics and wait till someone comes on and knows tile dont use the sealer you have at the momennt till we know what we are dealing with the name of the sealer will help to :8:

It is a print/glaze finish tile and should not require sealing.

The marks should buff up with a soft cloth..
