Hi ! i still haven't mastered the art of pricing yet so would like to no wot price you guys get for the following job ! don't know if you remember but i done a job a while back wall and floor in a bathroom which under priced and under estimated the time it would take etc and basically it worked out i done the whole job and took me 3 long days for £70 :yikes: customer was over the moon ( obviously ) so has got me back to price up his hallway ..... the job is 11mtrs floor area to be over boarded with 9mm ply as its a chipboard floor , tiles are ceramic , its a hallway running to a small WC. WC walls are to be tiled half height with the same tile ( walls are flat rad WC and basin already taken out ) walls 7mtrs. price is to include ply etc... would appreciate your help on this one as i don't want to under price again :mad2: thanks..

No.. but neither would i tile to 9mm ply.. imo it isn't stable enough and infact i no longer tile to any thickness ply..

I use cement boards instead..

Totaly agree with you Dave , i no exactly where your coming from m8 ! but to be fair the floor is solid with 0 deflection and ceramic tiles are going down so i though over boarding with ply would be fine ? to be honest I've stopped using cement board due to the cancer info that is clearly printed on the boards ! ( i still want to be tiling in 20 years not 6ft under ) plus there a nightmare to cut etc... :8:

If you price this correctly your customer may ask why is there such a difference in price from the bathroom.........

Hope you told her you lost hand over fist.

fair point !! i think he did get the impression that id made a BIG pricing error as he gave me a extra £30. but i didn't dare say to him that it should be more like a extra £300 , as it was my fault and i learnt a lot on that job !!
