before starting in the centre of the cooker hood lay your tiles the full length of the area you are tiling to ensure that you do not end up with really small cuts/large grout fill at the finishing tile. You may have to decide wether to centralise the centre of the tile or centralise the grout line between 2 tiles to get the best results. I hope this make sense.
