HG Cement Grout Film Remover

Hi guys,

I'm having a bit of trouble with grout haze (and adhesive residue) on porcelain floor tiles. The tiles are slightly dimpled, and i just cant get it out!?!?! I've tried the HG stuff at 1-10, and it hasn't shifted.. Just wondering if i should try a stronger mix, or could that harm the tiles!?!? :dizzy2:

Cheers
Scott

It just says 1-10 on glazed tiles, and 1-4 on (i think) stone. I could be wrong on the last point, it was 1-4 on something, but i can't remember off-hand and the bottle is in the van!?! 😳 I'll give it a go on an off-cut, and see what happens.. 😉

I use this product alot and found it to be very good you can make it a stronger solution for those stubborn areas, (TRY IT ON AN OFF CUT FIRST THOUGH I ALWAYS DO JUST TO BE SURE!!! or leave a off cut in the bucket of solution for 20 mins then clean off and compare with anoter tile)
you can use HG extra cement grout film remover for glazed tiles at a solution of 1:10 or at 1:4 solution for quarry tiles, brick, stone and slate,
Apply liberally keeping the area wet for 15-20mins with the solution, during this time scrub with a brush or pad, then clean down and rinse with clean water several times!!
In very stubborn areas you can use it concentrated

You can also use HG LIMEX which imo is slightly stronger,
What ever you do, do NOT use it on calciferous stone, i tried it once to see what it did and it started eating the tile away strait away!!!
If you are in any doubt phone the HG tec guys they are very helpful
Hope this helps:thumbsup:

Do test it on the grout as well,i tried this product on a small area and it significantly whitened the limestone grout.

I'm glad i left it an extra day, as i'm just about to head round there.. The grout is a sandstone colour, so i really don't want it going white lol! Cheers for the heads-up. 😉

Hi there what make of grout was it that went whiteish, I have never had that problem before with HG, I have had it happen with fila before though, i had to use an effloresense remover to get rid of the white marks which is caused by the salt in the cement in the grout (I think) sorry about the spelling:smilewinkgrin:

I'll bet it was "ultra" I've used it (HG) before on ultra grout and it did the same:thumbsup:. But for a haze/sealer remover LTP Grimex is the business imo
