Hi all - spent last 2 days tiling but now panicking

Hi one and all

Made a bit of a school boy error and jumped into tiling my conservatory floor without really doing any homework beforehand
started last night and continued today - layed 35 odd tiles so far - are 33x33cm tiles
being layed on top of existing tiles

Now heres the biggie - made the mistake of using ready mix home base adhesive which I assumed was the norm - had to take one tile up dinner time today as it wasn't level - then noticed that the adhesive was still wet - the seepage between the joints is rock hard but I'm pretty sure the adhesive under the tiles isn't drying

After coming on here I feel physically sick now as I currently feel like a complete prat and think I'm going to have to rip the lot up and start again, having wasted loads of time and £50 worth of adhesive

so my questions are - am I over reacting? Should I give it a good chance to go off properly or have I made a right **** up?
How long should it take to go hard - how can I check if it's getting hard?

Why do they sell this stuff if it's so poor?

Ohhhh i feel so sorry for you...

IMO take them up, clean off and then go and purchase a standard setting cement based adhesive ( bagged)... the only loss then as you say is the cost of the poo adhesive.

So is there no chance it will set at all? It's in a conservatory so very warm in there

Also Is it easier to use the bagged stuff?

As a rule of thumb, dnt use bucket adhesive...
Unless its a small wall job like a kitchen and even then make sure its good gear..
Dnt beat yourself up too much, u clearly have a conscience and care about the work you have done

A lot easier...

The adhesive you have used is of dispersion values and can take ages and ages to set if at all, if you have used it too thick.. the tensile strength IMO isn't what i would rely on..
