Hi I'm Rob and I am currently refitting my own bathroom, I have quite a lot of experience of tiling but have a problem and that's brought me here. I've been on this forum before and it is incredibly helpful, I read a lot of the posts and am grateful and impressed at the content and advice so freely offered, it is one of the best forums I read and a real credit to all those who contribute to it.
My current problem is I have ripped out a bathroom re boarded all the stud walls with plasterboard, plastered the ceiling and now on setting out walls to start tiling before refitting, have put up the bath to the wall and discovered that the stud wall is not level, so I have now rightly or wrongly cut the boards to sink the bath into the wall ready for tiling.:mad2:
I will read through the forum and post again if I can't find the right solutions

The corner was out by 28mm on a wall only 2.2m wide, I had used the original stud work and added a few noggins, as its a back to wall bath and is being centred to this wall I have just ripped the plasterboard off again! I am using 300x600mm tiles and don't want to see a banana shaped finish or any lipping so will plane down some shims tomorrow to try and level out the stud frame before re boarding.
