hi everyone

i'm new to this site and am wondering if all the hype on the forum is pucker about north east tiling .I am really looking forward to going down ther e and learning something new and hopefully be able to go out on my own any recomendations from anyone please

are most of you time served tilers if not did it take long for you to drum up business on your own full time or am i better to do weekend work and nights to test out the market first i'm in central scotland cheerfor any advice

there are a handfull of t/served lads on here but most are new comers, work weekends and nights till you get a feel how things work and if work progressess go for it...

Hello mate and welcome to the forums.

dhceramics advice is sound, I am all for encouraging new tilers to go for it but you would be silly to drop your job to be a self employed tiler without testing the market first. Try weekends and evenings before go all out.

On the other hand i am in Glasgow 'THE REAL CAPITAL',AND STARTED OUT ON MY OWN 5 WEEKS AGO AND fortunately i have had loads of work and people are now recommending me so my advice would be ITS YOUR CALL MATEY!
