Hi everyone

Hi everybody.
New on here so be gentle please.
The reason i have come on here is because, i am having an extention built and there is a wetroom to be put in (well its in apart from the floor).
My question is this, what would be the best way to go about doing the floor?
I have looked at various websites etc but was just wondering if anyone had any good advise?

hi jay thanks for your reply.
The floor is not done yet, i dont know what to go with wood or concrete floor? all there is is the base (block and beam at the moment just seeing what is best.

id go concrete if it was mine less chance of movement :8:

with concrete can i slope the floor down to the drain or level and slope the tiles to the drain or do i need to put one of the ready made floor drains in (if so why) sorry dont know what there called.

floor waste concrete can be shoped to fall just bear in mind vanitys and toilets look best on level areas your fall should be around 1cm over 100cm but remember the size of your tiles large ones are harder to fall without lippage:8:

thanks everyone for being friendly.
A little more on my wetroom scenario if you dont mind giving me advice which i can see nobody does.
The room itself is 900mm wide and just over 3 mts long with a doorway about central, 1 end will be the toilet,wall mounted sink and a small radiator (end where window is).
My question would be, would the trap be best placed in front of the door centrally located as the shower is the other end of the room, this way the toilet etc would be on level ground and i could slope the other end where the shower is down to the drain/waste outlet.
Or could i do the floor level and get my tiler to slope the tiles (as i know you tilers are good at your job, electrician myself,steady lads :ban
Hope you get what i mean regarding the room layout?

Will see what i can do later or maybe tommorow will have to try and find camera to do it with.
It is 900mm wide as its a room been build as part of my extention and will be used for showering the dog (he will love that :lol and for when we come in from the garden etc, thats why it is only this wide, but will try and do some photos along the way of all the tiling work thats going to be done.
