hi guys newbie with questions

hi chaps im not new to tiling but am not a pro either im a time served plaster with 20 years under my belt doing most trades in the building trade ,,just recently i have joined forces with a bathroom-kitchen fitter and im trying to better myself at tiling and am after advise on such things as metal edging strips and other usfull tips

1st question whats the best way to fit aluminum trims around a window :mad2:

I always insert them on the reveal side... make sure tiling is plumb. nice and flat .. then the trims sit flush..

Does the wall paper paste trick work..?.. nice tip if it does..

yes it does mate i learnt it from a guy a couple of years ago and thought he was pullin my leg:drool5: but was gob smacked when it worked .:yikes:.u have to give it scrape so it can penetrate the paint on it ,then paint the paste on and leave it for a while (depending on thickness of artex) and it softens it enough to scrape off so u can plaster it ,
