Hi, my name is bryan taylor and i live in the southport area of merseyside.

Can you tell me the best colured grout to use for ceramic floor tiles in a kitchen. The majority of the tiles will be white with a few black ones to form a diamond shape in the centre. I'm thinking of using grey!

Grey or black would be fine. Both colours come in varying shades from Mapei...ie Light grey , cement grey, Anthracite, charcoal etc

I'd often go for a slightly darker grey but I don't like black. Especially if it's a bit of a high traffic area, ie by a back door or whatever.

Hi Bryan

when I tiled my own kitchen floor I went for a light beige colour because of the light beige tiles I had. big mistake as it's a high traffic, greasy, dirty, dog paw area. darker grouts are better on kitchen floors. you won't spend so long looking at the grout and thinking the floor is dirty if it's grey, trust me!

granfix charcoal flexi grout dries a nice colour but make sur you wear your marigolds if using the dark grouts
