there is nothing stopping you from starting your business straight away but i would advice you that paying customers will expect perfection everytime
and this can be very different from family and friends, my advice would be to look around for an advanced training course which will explain different preperation
adhesives and their usage how to overcome problems etc.etc. The main reason for this is that learning from your mistakes is a costly way to learn.
this is in no way meant as to question your ability but as friendly advice.

hi &:hurray: welcome, agree with colleagues above plus add that tools are important as not having the right tools can make a huge difference in how the job gets done.

even things like using dust sheets people expect that you will look after their house etc as if it was your own .

So full kit is a must like using a wet cut for stone & marble ( not a whizzer aka angle grinder) setting up can be costly and at present lot's of tilers are having to cut margins to stay solvent. so if you haven't got a client list with firm orders but are just going in cold i would advise against such a move.

Time's Ran Out

Welcome to the Forum.
You are obviously going to succeed as you've started at the right place - here.
You can get all the information you need from various threads that have been posted over the years or you can just ask again.
My advice - walk before you can run.
Don't spend a fortune (ie don't get into debt) and save for the tools you'll need.
Treat every job as your own and make sure that you enjoy every aspect of it - especially getting paid.
Don't believe how much you can earn, but earn enough to support your outgoings.
Word of caution - It's great to be rewarded for doing a good job and a job you will enjoy - but there will be pressure to find work, you don't get paid when you are on holiday, you may even get a bad debt customer - but hey nothing is perfect!
